Masjid Wazir Khan
This beautiful mosque is constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan from 1634 to 1639. It is built near the Delhi Gate of the walled inner city of Lahore. It is tentative list as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is the best example of mosaic tile work from the Mughal period.
Badshahi Mosque was built by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb and is one of the few major architectural monuments built during 1658 to 1707. It is the fifth largest mosque in the world. During the 17th century it was the largest building of the world. Its construction was started in 1671. It is unique in its beauty. It is located only few hundred meters from Lahore fort and a special gate called Alimgiri gate is added in fort’s wall in front of main gate of Badshahi mosque. Floral designing is at its peak in Badshahi Musque. This mosque was badly damaged by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. British army also used it as a military garrison during British rule. Later on British army returned it to Muslims as place of worship. It was repaired by Pakistani government in 1960. it is made altogether of red sandstone which is attractive.
Shalimar garden id the grate example of love of Mughal’s with nature and art which was constructed in 1641 in the governance of Shah Jehan. Total area of this garden is 660 by 250 meters in the shape of rectangle. Its design is inspiration of Shalimar Gardens in Kashmir which was built by Emperor Jahangir.

Historical references show first concern of Lahore fort with Mahmoud Ghazni. Mongols destroyed it in 1241. Sultan Balban rebuilt it in 1267. Forces of Timor destroyed it in 1398. In 1421 it was rebuilt by by Mubarak Shah Sayyid. Mughal Emperor Akbar rebuilt Lahore Fort in the current form when he made Lahore his capital. Jahangir modified it in 1618. Sikhs and British damaged it. It is UNESCO World Heritage Site for its “outstanding repertoire” since 1981.
Minar e PakistanPakistan resolution was passed in All India Muslim League session of 22-24 March, 1940, held at the Minto Park and as result Pakistan came into existence as separate state of Muslims. Minar e Pakistan built at the same location as monument of Pakistan resolution. Construction work was started in 1960 and was completed in 1968. The rostrum offers a perfect scenic view of Badshahi Mosque and some other significant buildings are also situated nearby the area of this monument.
Daata DurbarData Durbar is the tomb of the one of greatest Muslims saints of the subcontinent Abul Hassan Ali Hajveri. Visitors are also served with tasty langer at this beautiful and spiritual tomb.
