The Pyramids at Giza

These Pyramids are greatest art of engineering. Man wonders from 4000 years that how is it possible to make these pyramids. Even Today's scientists and builders are not sure that how these pyramids built but they can learn a lot from this wonderful creation. A temporary city rich with resources was made for highly organized builders, workers and architectures. First great pyramid was built in 2550 B.C. by  Pharaoh Khufu which is the largest pyramid in Giza having height 481 feet (147 meters) above the plateau. This pyramid is made of about 205 million stone blocks and average weight of each block is 2.5 to 15 tons. Second pyramid of Giza was built by Pharaoh Khafre who was son of Pharaoh Khufu in 2520 B.C. there is necropolis in the Center of this Pyramid which is made of  mysterious limestone monument and have  the body of a lion and a pharaoh's head. Main reason for this damage is natural.

Taj Mahal

Taj mahal is the most beautiful building in the world which is standing majestically on the banks of River Yamuna. It was built in 1600s in historical city of Agra in India. Emperor Shah Jahan built this white marble tomb as a memorial for his Wife Mumtaz Mahal so it is called "symbol of love". It is UNESCO World Heritage site from 1983 and is one of Seven Wonders of the World. Two to four million tourists visit the Taj Mahal annually. It was built in 17 years and was completed in 1753. It is the master piece of Mughal architecture. Reflection of Taj Mahal in Yamuna river gives dreaming view in the moon light. It was Ustad Ahmad Lahore who was the main architect collect a team of expert carvers, painters, masons, calligraphers, stone-cutters, dome builders, inlayers, dome builders and other artisans from Central Asia, Iran and whole Mughal Empire. Beauty of inlay work is at its top in Taj Mahal.

The Colosseum 

This great historical place is situated in the east of the Roman Forum. It is one of the most tourist visiting historical destination of the world. Colosseum was the major amphitheater in the Roman world. This great building is made of stone and concrete. Seating capicity of Colosseum was more than 50000. Seats of spectators was arranged according to social ranking. Most important game played in the colosseum were hunts, wild animal fights and gladiatorial combats. Gladiators were usually slaves, condemned criminals or prisoners of war. two-thirds of the original Colosseum has been destroyed due to natural disasters, neglect and vandalism. It is called Alhambra due to its redish walls. In the beautiful city of granada on the bank of Darro river and on the top of the hill al-Sabika this mind-blowing castle is located. Alhambra was originally created for military purposes. It is a small city, a palace and a fortress at the same time. most glorious period of Alhambra was started in 13th century with the arrival of of the first king of the Nasrid dynasty, Mohammed ben Al-Hamar (Mohammed I, 1238-1273)when royal residence was established in the Alhambra. Finally Yusuf I (1333-1353) and Mohammed V (1353-1391) are responsible for nearly all constructions of this glorious  and beautiful Alhambra that we can still admire today. Granada conquered by Catholic and became a Christian court In 1442. It is World Heritage site. Advance booking is best to visit Alhambra because of high demand and visitor restrictions.

Mohenjo Daro

Mohenjo Daro is one of the Oldest civilized city in the world that was flourished between 2600 and 1900 BCE. This site was discovered in 1920s. This site is located in Larkana district of  Sindh province of Pakistan. excavatation of this place shows that ancient people of Mohenjo Daro have WELL-PLANNED STREET grid and successful drainage system. People of Mohenjo Daro were skilled in manufacturing the things of  gold, ivory, carnelian, lapis, Pottery, copper and baked-brick. Trade system was tightly controlled by seals and weight. For the tourists from all over the world having  true sense of historical places Mohenjo Daro is is the unique area to visit. People used the mud and baked bricks technology for construction of their buildings. 

Machu Picchu

This UNESCO World Heritage site is also known as the “Lost City of the Incas,” and was discovered in 1911. Height of this city is 7970 feet from sea level. This ruined city is situated in Peru in south America on the top of mountain and is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007. a tourist can reached to this city by a four day trek or by train from Cusco. this city was built from 1432 to 1472 AD.

Angkor Wat

Petra is one of the new seven wonders of the world and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1985. UNESCO describes  it as "one of the most precious cultural properties of man's cultural heritage". Petra is at 3-hour drive from Amman. This city was discovered in 1812AD.

Itza Was the incent Maya. It is famous for its well of sacrifice. Human and precious objects were tossed into the sinkhole as offering to chaak, the rain god.
