Neelum Valley


Neelum Valley is one of the most beautiful valleys of the world which is 20 Km from Muzaffarabad The capital of Azad Kashmir Thousands of visitors visit this valley to see it’s magical beauty. In summer from april to September its temperature is very pleasant but in winter from Dec to Feb is freezy. This beautiful valley lies on both sides of the river and is about 150 miles long. Elevation of this valley at start is 2000 feet which becomes 8000 feet at its peak. Mountains on both sides of this valley increase its beauty. One approach to reach this valley is from Kaghan valley which is linked with Neelum valley at two points, the Nuri Nari Hali and the Ratti Gali and many minor Passes. From Kaghan valley it is two days hiking distance and night stay point is Dharian which is 12,000 feet. This approach is tough but full of adventure and gives chance to view the wonderful beauty of way. The second way is from Muzaffarabad which is 55 miles but jeepable in fair weather. Local people have built rope crossings on the river ate different places. It is horrible but thrilling to cross the river at these rope crossings. Strawberry, fir, Deodar, pine and wild walnut are forest wealth of this valley. This beautiful valley is running parallel to Kaghan Valley and two vallies are separated by snow-covered peaks. This destination has panoramic views, excellent scenic beauty and lush green forests.

Dhani Noseri Waterfall


These 15 meters beautiful water fall is 30 kilometers from Muzaffarabad. Flow of this fall is at its peak from March to June and later on its level becomes low.

 Kutton Jagran Valley


It is almost first point of tourist stay. Best time to visit it is from April to October. Greater Hydle power is additional attraction of this valley. Fisheries department has established a hatchery for Trout fish about 8 kilometers from Kundal Shahi. Accommodation facilities are provided here by the Tourism Department for the visitors.

Keran Neelum Valley, Upper Neelum


It is one of the most beautiful point of neelum valley which is 93 km from muzaffarabad. Water is clean and flowing peacefully at this point. At the distance of 2 km from Keran valley there is Upper neelumwhich is the most scenic place of Neelum Valley and at this point there are small two bedrooms huts constructed by AJK TOURISM to facilitate tourists.

Ratti Gali Lake


With 15 kilometer jeep track it is 18 km from Dowarian and is an alpine glaciers lake with red flowers and green fields around it. It is known as ome of the most beautiful lake of Pakistan. It is best place for camping. Water comes directly from melting glacier. May to august is best time to travel this heavenly paradise. 

Sharda Neelum Valley


It is one of the most attractive places of the Neelum valley which is 30 km from Dowarianand and is 136 Km from Muzaffarabad. A special historical attraction for tourist in Sharda is ruins of an old place (of 9th century)

Kel/Arrang kel


Kel is Situated at 8,379 feet. It is one of the most beautiful and most attractive location of neelum valley and is also known as Pearl of Neelum Valley. It is real beauty of Azad Kashmir. It is very difficult to reach at this location because it requires at least 2 hours hike and is roughly 1500 foot climb from the Neelum River but its visit is life time experience.

Chitta Khatta Lake


Chitta Katha means White Stream. Origin of this white stream is Hari parbat so it is also called or lake of the Mount Hari parbat. This location is at the height of 4100 meters in Azad Kashmir. It has very difficult hiking trek but the whole way is full of worthy scenes. Facility of travelling in jeep is also available. This difficult but wonderful destination is not recommended for families.

Toabutt Chitta


This is last destination of neelum valley and is 200 kilometers from Muzaffarabad. Natural mountain beauty is at its peak at this destination.   Kaghan valley starts at the end of Neelum valley which is unique in its beauty and opens the way for the Hunza Valle valley wich is known as heaven on the earth
